Harder to start and slight surge at idle

I have an 02 Dmax that has recently been harder to start and a slight surge at idle. The surge seems worst just after morning cold start. It has recent injectors about 5000 miles ago. Most say the surge is likely the FPR but would that cause harder than normal starts as well?

I will try the filter even though it only has about 2000 miles on it.

Problem solved, now that I had time to look at it good. I found a leak on the water in fuel sensor causing loss in prime.
