Does anyone know if there is an alternator pulley available for the 6.5TD alternator that has a diameter of around 2.9"? This is the diameter of the total diameter of the pulley, not the grooved section where the serpentine belt rides. This should pull my rpms at 65mph down to around 2100-2150 from its current 2600rpm with a 2.42" pulley.
You can get the correct pulley from GM. IIRC it's a 62mm pulley on the groove section which equates to 2.44". You can do a search on the page, or someome else can confirm or correct.

My current pulley is already 2.4", I need one 20% larger (2.9") to pull the rpm's down to the actual speed.

Scott, Did you ever fine your pulley. Like to know as I have the same proplem with may 94 2500.
I checked mine with a scan tool and was about 300 rpm's high at 2000 on the tack. Glenn
