Chip Compatibility

[6.5 Detroit Diesel]

In my 95' 2500 I have the Heath GL4 chip. My buddy has a 94' 2500. Trucks are the exact same except he has 3.42's in his, and mine has 3.73's. I am putting my truck back to stock for now. I am wondering if anyone knows if it would be okay to switch the chips in the trucks?

Just spent some time talking with Bill Heath on this subject. Best bet is to get a hold of Bill with the 4 letter code on the GL4 and the 4 letter code on the prom in the '94's computer. He will then be able to say if it is a good swap. Guess there was something like 19 different proms for the 95 and over 20 for the 94.
