03 6.6 low power and smokes bad

I have a 03 with 265,000 miles on it. it smokes black real bad and has lost most of its power it will pop a code up of low fuel rail psi. I have scaned it and the inj. all tested at 1.2 at idle and wide open throttle it has a new fuel filter on it and its still the same. do you guys have any ideas???? is it the cp3 pump ,regulator or ???? also the inj. have a good knock to them also could this still be due to low fuel psi ????

A tech can use a Tech II scan tool to excercise the rail system to determine whether the pressures can be attained. This might help point you in the right direction. Changing the fuel filter was the correct first step.

Just had it checked out and it needs a cp3 pump so I will put one on this weekend im sure glad we get a good discount at work our cost is $800 for the pump with the regulator from the chevy dealer and like $1200 with out our discount !!!!!
