I have some stalling issues with my 58k miles 6.5 diesel, it starts just fine and after a while it just stalls and service light comes on. It stalls sometimes just 3 or 4 minutes after starting, and sometimes it happends after a while when at idle, like on a stoplight. It starts right up and the start feels a little rough, but after a few seconds the engine starts to sound just fine, and the SES light keeps on.
When the SES light is on, if I pushed the accelerator hard down the road, the engine sounds strange, like it needs more fuel to keep the needed RPMs.
I did the LIFT PUMP test and it is working fine, but there is something strange on my eyes, because if I took off the fuel pump relay from its place located on the truck's fuse boxes, nothing happends, the engine keeps running, and the lift pump still pass the test, the relay seems to be OK and working, I was wondering if this is correct?
I had cleared the codes about 5 times, and the engine works fine but just for a while, sometimes 15 minutes and sometimes for a couple of hours, and then the codes are back again. Most of the time the only codes that are back are the 251 and the 1216
Down below is a checklist and diagnose information.
Any help will be greatly appreciated, and thanks in advance.
