trans filter drop out

Has there been a big problem with the in pan filter dropping into the pan under normal driving conditions?? not off road type pounding. Thanks Larry

None that I've heard of. Properly installed, it should never drop off. However, it could happen. Anything is possible. You can buy and install a retainer for just such a thing. If it were to happen, it would be so rare an occurrence I wouldn't give it any concern.

Suncoast delevoped a Filter Loc to ensure this does not happen, but this is more geared toward aftermarket deep pans. It seems some mfr's couldn't figure out the proper depth to retain the filter properly.
