Are wind deflectors that mount in the stake pockets worth the money they are asking?
Does it help with MPG or anything else?

maverick,
Not sure what type your talking about. If its for towing, it will help but payback may be a while. On my old 74 C2500 I had a piece of plywood that fit between the back of the wheel wells and the top of the tail gate. Formed a wedge out of the tailgate. It was good for 2/10s of a mile per cruising empty to and from work. It took a lot of trips on the same rout to determine the savings.

I have one listed locally:Ultra Trail Eze II Adjustable Wind Deflector. I am not sure if it is worth the money or not.
Back in the early 90's, when I was driving the worst truck I ever owned ('90 7.3L Ford), I put a deflector on and my mileage went from 11 to 12 mpg towing a 5th wheel Toyhouse.
They really work, or you wouldn't see all the semi's with one. I think an 8% increase in mileage is max.
