Hi guys,
I have a question about the fitment of the (standard 6.2 / 6.5) flexplate or flywheel GM part number: 14077157. I'm planning to get me a new 6.5 optimizer / P400 engine and (as I want to sell my old 6.2) need a new flex plate. Yeah, and now I need to know about fitment :cool::cool: would be terrific if anyone of you guys could tell me if it fits!
Thanks and happy dieseling ;)
Greetings
Flo

This is the correct flexplate for an Optimizer 6500. Just FYI, you will need metric studs/bolts for the transmission to engine as the Optimizer has Metric threads and the GM 6.5's used SAE threads. I got a set of studs from the dealer, part #15724226

by the way:
can you recommend me any manual that has part numbers listed for the p400 or the optimizer? I got a bunch of manuals for my 6.2 Diesel but I'd need one for a 6.5TD, I still need mounting hardware and bolts for my turbo setup.
Thanks again

The turbo stuff would be the same as the trucks, unless you are going center turbo. In either event, you can find the parts listings at Comp Nine (http://www.compnine.com/) just enter in the year and model. Peninsular has a parts manual you can download. (http://www.peninsulardiesel.com/WP-PENTEST/?page_id=589) The turbo and a few other parts are different, but most of the parts are the same as the Optimizer.
