I have Firestone Desitnation MT's on my truck. Maybe 5K miles on them. Just recently I have noticed alot of tire noise. If I ver to the left at speed (55MPH) the noise gets louder, if I ver to the right, noise goes away completely. Tires don't appears to have any unusual wear patterns. And ideas on what to check?
Thanks
Chris
You may have a front wheel bearing on it's way out.
Another thing to try would be to temporarily swap the tires front and back, keeping them on the same side, to see if the noise changes.

I had changed out both front bearings on my burb before 100k.
Firestone Destination MT (maximum traction)while not the loudest tire will make excessive noise on a frontend that needs alignment too.
A little off topic here;
How do you like them so far?

So far, I like the tires. They have been pretty quite. They give good traction in snow and mud. Time will tell how long they will last. The last mud tires I had were Wild Country's and they lasted 40K miles. They were very worn down though.
Exactly the symptoms I had - Replaced the hub and it is more quiet than I ever thought it would be.
