My old BFD c3500 NV4500 gave up the ghost. Looking for a good used, or blown engine 3500 with either auto or another manual to get back on the road to haul so.me hay. Located near Seattle but willing to travel/haul.
Haven't seen any rebuilds under 2k and this is just a farm truck now.....
I'd prefer not to ditch the old 6.5 as I've got a new pump etc....
Is it really a farm trunk or do you take it on the road? If it's a farm truck, just patch it up and use it. you only need a couple of working gears...

Well it is a road truck for this then.... I need it to haul hay from about 200 miles away over a pass etc.... It doesn't need to be my going to town with the Mrs. truck.

Fix it right, then... Or fix it yourself. If you don't mind a little whining, you can probably save a bunch of money (depending on what's wrong with it now...)
200 miles? Is it free hay? I considered hauling hay about that distance, but the cost to haul it approaches the cost of the hay. Guess I need a bigger trailer...

Now you're talking paint and upholstery... ;)

the NV4500 is not that complicated to rebuild. I lost the main input shaft in mine. Ended up replacing a few other parts while I had it apart. Try http://www.drivetrain.com/ these guys. Very helpful and reasonable too.
