I beleive that the box says silvolite. I once had their website, I think they are out of Utah. Not sure if a person could order directly from them or not...

I have a set of silvolites in my 6.2 that i did about 10 yrs ago, still going strong.

What does anyone know about a guy on ebay (direct diesel) selling Mahle pistons. 545.00 a set??

Seems like there was a thread a while back about him... It seems like he was Rebuilt Diesel & Diesel Direct. I also seem to remember complaints about some of his parts... Have to do a search though to confirm this, as my mind has been known to slip a cog every now and then.

I bought my pistons from this guy and they were Mahle pistons and were top quality. They did however take forever to come. I beleive he runs this business out of his house and actually does not stock anything. He just orders it when he receives your order. I also bought a crankshaft from him that was ground .020 undersize and I told him I didn't want an undersized crank. He also tries to sell you reconditioned rods but I personally would not buy anything reconditioned from him. I read some complaints on other forums about his rebuilt parts.

The new parts are fine but just order way before you need them. Mine took about 3 weeks. Also, if you call him to check on your order, he never gets back to you.
