fluid and filter

I have a 01 duramax with 230k on it not sure if the tranny fluid has ever been serviced. should I drain and replace or just change filters? the oil still red and doesnt smell burnt but time to time when I leave a stop sign it hesistates but doesnt feel like a slip

Drain/fill, at least. A full flush would be better......and the filter.

dont want to go to the dealership cause they want a fortune to flush, would like to do myself if possible, any idea how or if I can?
