I'm changing my head gaskets right now and was wondering whats the best way to clean the gasket surfaces?

I read that write up. Where do you find this Moisture Displacing Lubricant, P/N 88862629 or something like it.

WD-40. Be sure to use a solvent-stable sand paper (the cheap stuff falls apart).

Yep, WD-40(WD-40 = water dispersing formula number 40).
