Should I fit a stud girder to my near new 6.5.

Don't know what engine you've got. If it is earlier than the enhanced GEP block cast by International (say pre-2002??) the stud girdles will probably be worth it to minimize web/cylinder cracks.

I will try and get the engine No if that helps.
Can they be fitted with engine in? I have full access to sump.

They have been installed without pulling engine in 4X4 trucks; might have to drop forward diff.
