Help with 1993 CHEVY 5000 W5 Older NPR

Trying to figure out what Isuzu Engine came in this model truck. Its a 6cly diesel with automatic trans and thats all I know. I am purchasing the truck for a business venture and I was looking to get some parts for it but the truck is a few states away at the moment. Anyone now what engine and trans came in this? How strong it was etc? Thank u!!

It is a catepillar diesel, I believe the Isuzu diesel in the 7.8L inline 6 didn't come until around 2002 when the topkick was redesigned. I have a 91' GMC Topkick with GVWR 36,000. It has the 3116 series B code 215 hp inline 6 catepillar with 5 speed allison trans. Yours should be similar, some later models came with updated 3126, but I believe that was later in the decade. Some say they aren't the best engines, but I haven't had any problems with it. They only thing I would recommend is to make sure if your block heater works if you are in a colder climate, they are cold blooded in the winter. Good luck

The Cat engines I've seen are Cat yellow. Should be easy to identify. ;)
