Far be it from me to give advice on your problem. I experienced that same problem several years ago and I can almost guarantee that if you cannot understand what you read in this forum or are not inclined to do mechanical work it's going to run you close to $2000.00 at a diesel shop. They are going to replace your pump.
Read again and try to understand!

turboguy, you kind of have two things you can check here. one would be the ignition switch, or two, and more likely IMO, is the PMD. that is the Pump Mounted Driver. it is located on the drivers side of the injection pump and is about the size of a deck of cards. in it's stock position it gets to hot and will fail. remote kits give you an extension and you can move it to a much cooler place. some put it in the bumper, or just move it off the engine. either way, i would check those two things. get yourself a manual of some sort and read through it. i have never had a problem with the ignition switch, so i will leave that to someone else like to walk you through.
as for the PMD, you should be able to get on for around $4-500 with a remote kit. try either kennedy or heath diesel. as was said already, if you go into a shop, chances are, they will replace the injection pump which is probably just fine. if you aren't mechanically inclined, then maybe try to get a friend who is to help you. you will find all the help you need on here to walk you through.

Turboguy, by the way, that is an outstanding looking truck. Please give me first shot at it if you ever want to part with it. <grin> Good Choice!

Turboguy, another thought, that truck looks so well cared for that it might have a whole bunch of additions and modifications that you are not aware of. It might be a good idea to get a digital camera and take some good photos of the engine compartment from all angles and photos up under the front end.
That might help the experts here to guide you better.

I strongly suggest you go through, or have someone knowledgeable go through the whole troubleshooting procedure for stalling before committing to a new injection pump. My guess is that 4 out of 5 injection pump replacements are not necessary.
