I have a 99 GMC 6.5 Turbo.The glow plugs havn't been working dince I bought the truck a couple months back.The turbo side all the wires were rusted off.The front 3 plugs on this side I can see orange wires with grey cplugs on them but no ends.The other side had push on ends but just regular ends not heavy or shielded ones.Both sides appear to go to a control box(for lack of better word)they are held here with nuts on two side by side studs.Can you use heavier guage wire or is it a special harness.Just asking here at the coffee shop most seem to think I should be able to run new wires.Where might I find a wiring diagram for this problem.

Do not use normal wiring. The OEM wiring is made with fusible link wire.

I bought a new replacement set through GM Parts Direct dot com. You can also get it through a local dealer.
