Hey guys new guy here to The Diesel Pages , up in Canada so it's cold and dieseld act up a bit in the cold , Have an 88 3500 with a 6.2 a 94 with a 6.5TD and an 07 Grand Cherokee with a 3.0 L Mercedes TD . Anyways question , can the oil pan on the 88 be replaced without pulling the motor out , looks like you may be able to do it by just pulling the mount bolts and raising it up . I have ordered the manuals / techbooks on the site hopefully they give me the info I need . Thanks

Hi
Is your 88 a 4x4?It can be done on a 4x4.You need to drop the starter, support rods and lines if it's an auto. It's a little tight but doable.I forgot you need to have the old classic body style, the crew cabs, blazers and suburbans in 88 are the old style. If you have the newer body you can still do it but you need to remove the front differental center section.
Good luck
