Water leak in cab.

This is for you folks with crewcab duallies that have the roof lites. Whenever it rains hard I get a leak that comes in up above the console area. It seems to be coming from the roof console where the dummy panel is just back of the mirror. It drips down into the cup holder. I have sealed the center lite by using gasket sealer under the gasket and between the gasket and the lens. The only thing that I haven't tried yet is sealing all the screws around the lens. Anybody had this problem?

You're not the first to see this. There is a TSB on the leak, and a remedy. GM addressed this before the 2001 production year was done. If you are the original owner, you should have received a customer interest letter (like a recall, but not a recall). You may try getting with a good dealer to see if they'll fix it. Otherwise, I don't remember it being a difficult repair. I can look up the bulletin, later, if necessary.
