We have a fleet of 30 - 08 and 09 Silverados all Duramax powered, this week while a crew was in Iowa in the snow storm we thought we had fuel filter issues with one of the trucks but the local GM shop found ice in the air filter. They drilled holes in the housing so that some under the hood warmer air could be sucked into the air filter and stated that in the summer we need to replace the air cleaner door.
Anyone heard of this fix- I should state the driver was not using his winter cover (Bra) which should have reduced the amount of snow that entered the air cleaner
