swapping computers

I have a 94 K2500 Suburban with a 5068 pump that needs to be replaced. There is a later model pump for sale locally. To make the pump work in my 'burb can I use the computer out of a later rig? I am assuming that I will have to stick to a OBD I computer. When did the 6.5 switch from OBD I to OBD II?

94 and 95 were OBD1

You can just get a proper "CHIP" to make the new IP work right.

Call Bill Heath Or John Kennedy and get the scoop on whats available.


No need to change the whole ECM.

This is a budget resurrection of the 'burb so I am hoping I can pick up used ecm locally cheaper then having a custom chip shipped in from Outside. Also I would then be able to troubleshoot if the intermittent loss of 5 volt reference voltage is wiring or the ecm.
