I'm sorry to bounce in and out on this same topic. I replaced the glow plugs on my truck with Delphi HDS309's, and it fixed my cold starting problem--for about a week. Now it won't start at all. I've tightened the grounds, checked the fuel, and I can hear my lift pump banging away. I get smoke even without a start, and I can really smell the fuel. The weird thing is, once it starts, it runs better than ever, which implies to me that the fuel delivey and quality is just fine. I don't want to stick in new glow plugs in again unless I figure out what killed the new ones (if indeed they are bad). Thanks for your thoughts.
