Heavy Black Soot

Hey , I have a question about the intake and ERG Valve is covered in Heavy Black Soot. and is there anything I can do to clean it up and keep it clean? And the truck is running OFF-Road Diesel at the time there is still about a half of a tank.

Off highway Diesel shouldn't have any effect on how it operates, or the soot in the intake. The combination of EGR and CDR (Crankcase Depression Regulator, similar to a PCV on a gasser) are the cause. It's the nature of the beast. You can clean it, but it will be sooty again in no time. Cleaning may help a little with airflow, but it's temporary. The engines don't seem to mind the mess.
