Twenty-five years ago, I bought a new GMC High Sierra K2500 with the TH400 and 6.2L motor. I still have the truck and it does a fine job hauling water, feed and wood.

I've been looking at new pickups for a few years now and decided now is the time to buy a new one. So... next Monday, I'm taking delivery of a 2009 Sierra 3500 SLT extended cab... Duramax, 4X4, etc..
The timing is right for a number of reasons:
1. It's good for America and it's good for me.
2. Thanks to a brother who retired from GM's Central Foundry, I get GMS pricing.
3. GM Truck Month and other rebates save me another $5K.
4. Section 179 writeoff will save me $3,000 in taxes each year for the next 4 years.
5. My other rig doesn't have rear doors... and it's supposed to snow this weekend. :)
