Well with all the C4C BS and Missy's situation tryin to find a nice Blazer, I'd like to post some good news with a positive outcome. And no, don't nominate me for no Peace Prize, either ha ha thank you very much!

Back in August I decided to have the body re-done on my 95 GMC 6.5TD. I call this the Cash IN my clunker program LOL. No subsidy from BHO, either.

So below are some pics of progress during the past few months.

0555: truck all tore apart and starting to repair extended cab corners.

0558: right side cab corner before starting repairs

0563: drivers side cab corner repairs coming along

0566: repairs to passenger side door in progress, drivers door had similar repairs done. my oldest brother in background doing most of the work on this project.

0593: getting ready to paint the truck in the paint shop.

Here are some pics of the finished product, the truck turned out very nice....

This oughta put a smile on your face!

Good day!!!!

And yes, I still have to clean up and paint the hitch in back...

Bro also sprayed in a bed liner similar to linex, product was called Raptor.

Turned out nicely!

I was just looking through the LMC catalog the other day at cab corners. My driver's side corner is currently "patched" with duct tape...

Very very nice indeed

I can appreciate the labor it takes to do this sort of work.

I sure do approve of Cash for the clunker :D

The last time I got involved with body and paint work I did this beast

Was a major job to shoot that thing.

Did it in sections and had to shoot outdoors. Did the top, 1/2 at a time and then each side, then the front and finally the rear.

Took a buttload of work and more paint.

Great job on the pickup.

Long live the clunker :D

Thanks for the feedback, Missy. The ole girl should be good for another 10 years. In case the engine should decide not to participate at some point, I have another motor waiting in the wings.

Wow that was a big rig to shoot paint onto.

trbankii, that is where we got the replacement cab corners from, LMC.
