Just flashed, diesel rattle's louder.

Just had the truck ecu flashed this afternoon. Along with the new power, I've noticed the diesel rattle is "a lot" more audible. Does the program advance the timing that much. I didn't get a chance to call back Westers as they were closed after I got home. (Wicked bad assed shop. It was like being in the mother of all wet dreams)

Well, it depends on what it was at before and what it's at now. It's not clear what year you have, but I know for OBDII's you have to physically adjust the pump to take full advantage of the new timing (to make sure the ECM and pump are on the same page, so to speak). But, yes, more advance will make more clatter.
