So recently i went to replace the glowplugs on my 6.2 since the truck started hard in the cooler weather we've been having. I got 4 of the 8 out and replaced but the other 4 are stuck. They all unscrewed but are getting hung up and wont pull out..(and ive yanked on them ferociously). Of the ones i was able to get out i noticed the ends were "bulbed" out, snapped off, pieces flaked off, and i had a few bumps on it. So i guess im wondering if anyone else has had this issue and how can i get them out without pulling the heads.
thanks in advance.

This isn't uncommon, with the old 9G plugs. Most of us have been there.
Save yourself a bunch of time and grief, and just do it right. You could mess with pulling them (there are special tools and methods to pull them out), but it's a 50/50 shot at best, and 4 at a time is a long shot.
Stop where you are now. Remove the injectors at the stuck plug cylinders. Plug the pre-cup flash hole (cloth, paper, whatever as long as you can get it out, I use pieces of rolled up inner-tube, something that won't cause damage if you don't get it back). Push the plug back in the hole (don't engage the threads), and break it off. Push the tip into the pre-cup and use shop air through the GP hole to blow the pieces out the injector hole (use eye protection). Sometimes, a shop vac will work, but not always. Check carefully to be sure it all came out. Don't rely on a magnet to retrieve the pieces, the insulating material is ceramic (like spark plug porcelain). Repeat for each stuck plug. You can use a gun bore brush to clean the GP holes (a little WD40 will cut most of the soot). Reinstall everything (use a bit of anti-seize on the injector and GP threads, NOT thread locker). Back in business. This job isn't bad on a N/A engine. Can be a bit of a chore on a 6.5TD with the turbo in the way of #6 and 8.
