So the tranny in my 6.2l Blazer is starting to go and a relative has an extra 700R4 that came out of a diesel suburban. The only problem is the tranny misses second gear right now. The tranny worked when it was pulled, he took the motor and tranny out of his suburban to do head gaskets, upon re-installation that is when the shift problem was apparent. My question is: will a tweak in the detent cable from taking this tranny out cause it to skip gears? or is this some fluke that it is now missing 2nd? it did work when it was pulled just not when it was put back in. Thanks
