More Turbo Questions

So... I just got done tearing apart my turbo so I can install a new center cartridge (see link below), and I had some questions.

1. Is there a gasket that goes between the exhaust turbine housing and the cast iron elbow?

2. Is there anything I can do while I am inside to improve turbo performance?

There isn't a gasket between the turbine down spout and the turbine housing, so you're fine there.

I don't know of anything you can do yourself to modify the turbo for more performance, since you're inside of it.
