I have a 94 crew cab 6.5. The first start in the morningis hard. Turns over well but spits and sputters. When it cranks up after about 5 to 10 seconds it smooths out fine after blowing out a big cloud of smoke. Have installed new batteries, injectors, new injection pump, lift pump, filter, and fast heat glow plugs with no changes. Runs smooth going down the road after starting. Any body know what to check next! Thanks for your help.

Maybe glowplug controller is original, not passing enough power to heat all plugs hot enough.
Might check current to the glowplugs. Did bleed air from top of fuel filter cannister?

The glow plugs might not be on long enough. The next time you start cold unplug the coolant temperature sensor. It's the one near the thermostats. With this unplugged the ECM thinks the coolant is VERY COLD giving you a longer glow time. If the sensor is tired and not reading correctly cold starts will be affected.
Another option is to wire in a switch to the cab to manually extend the glowtime. A fifteen second burn on the glow plugs will really help.
