I've used Yellow freight. The key is finding one that has a loading dock where it's being shipped from, and can deliver to your business address.
It needs to be palletized correctly too.

Have used these guys in the past - they are based in Arizona as well... http://www.engineshipping.com/
Also, you could list it on www.UShip.com (http://www.UShip.com) and get it done cheaper with competitive bidding, probably delivered in the back of a hotshot hauler's pickup.
Reject bids from haulers without DOT/MC# credentials on their profile - they are likely uninsured;
Reject bids from haulers with Dodge duallys on their profile - they obviously aren't that smart; ;)
Accept bids with 50+ feedback; they obviously are doing something right.
Be detailed in your requirements. i.e. If you don't specifically ask for tarping or enclosed transport, it might just get rained on!Agreed that half the battle is starting with a good pallette and good shipping practices at the beginning!

I am going to go with engineshipper.com . I spoke with Kevin there and he is going to do $199, with residential lift gate service and it will only take one day transit. They are based in Phoenix and the engine will be dropped off at thier shop (or he said he could meet MaxPF somewhere in Phoenix).
I am hoping this works out as it sounds way too easy.
