Preventive maintenance on 92 with 150k miles??

Just bought a 92 3500hd on Saturday with a 6.5 TD in it. I am planning on taking it out of the truck and putting it in my 90 6.2l powered extended cab.
What should i do to the engine before i install it in the truck?? head gaskets?? turbo??
I dont want to go through the work of getting this engine in the truck only to have it take a crap a few hundred miles down the road.

What do you guys recommend??

About the only thing I had replaced on mine up to that point was a set of injectors and a water pump.

I'd put a new timing set on it, or a gear set if it's in the budget. Reseal the tin - pan & valve covers, new main seals, a good cleaning & a little fresh paint. smile.gif
