Has anyone ever heard of this shop? They have a "new" engine for sale using the updated "506" block. I thought the 599 was the best block to have? Here's a link. Scroll down just over halfway to see the specs.

When I first started searching for an engine, I contacted them. As soon as they told me that they grind the cranks, I took them off my list.

What about the block casting? Their calgary shop is only an hour away if I needed a new block and would prefer not to ship a block from the states.

I don`t know that#,but I`d check with GeneralEngineProducts. It could be the above and beyond block now being used in new AMGeneral & Peninsular 6.5TDs.I haven`t noticed any mention on these"new"post-2000 blocks. These blocks would be better yet, just not cheap.
