I have a 1997 K2500 Silverado long bed extended cab with the 6.5L diesel motor for sale. It has 150,000 miles on the odometer. It has 4wd, automatic transmission, leather seats, driver full power seat, auto dimming rear view mirror, day time running lights, power locks and windows, rear sliding window, Tape deck and CD player. The truck runs on diesel as well as filtered WVO (Waste Vegetable Oil) thanks to a Greasecar kit. it cost me $2,000 as optioned with the diamond plate tank and the co-pilot computer.
Since I have owned the vehicle I have replaced the cylinder heads with new castings from Clearwater cylinder heads, fuel injectors, harmonic balancer, glow plugs, brake master cylinder, crankcase depression regulator valve, exhaust crossover pipe, undercarriage fuel lines as well as the fuel sending unit, waste-gate actuator. Also the pump mounted driver was replaced with a D-tech unit and was re-located with a PMD cooler kit. That comes out to around $2,400 in parts.
Along with the repairs above the truck just had a complete transmission rebuild for $2,500 with a 1 year / 12,000 mile warranty as of 2-10-09 and 149,238 miles.
All that is listed above is what I actually have receipts for. Some more minor work has been done on the truck but I have since lost the receipts. The AC is missing the accumulator dryer, and the motor leaks some oil, other than that it is in good condition and runs solid. Price is 7,500 or best offer.
