Shop Manual?

Looking for someone herein that has a shop manual for the K30/35 front IFS differential. I need to know if the vent assembly has to be installed a certain way. I see it is about 3" in dia., screws in, has a liquid separator and wondering if it can fail, or?

My burb is a K2500 4wd, but has the K30/35 differential according to GM parts guy. He ran my burb's vin and kept coming up with the wrong diff, then he searched the RPO codes for my burb and found difference in the suspension and front differential.

The manual says nothing about the orientation.
