steering damper ?

Anyone know if its noticeable if the steering damper is defect..
Can it cause vibrations and/ore unstable steering.

I THINK it just adds a little stiffness or tightness to the steering. If you get any wandering or looseness in steering or play in wheel its probably joints.

How rough are the roads? Really rough it may make a little more difference but doubt stabilizer would cause vibration.

Something else to check is the condition of the Pittman arm and idler arm bushings. Had that suggested to me from another user, and sure enough, there is noticeable play. Apparently a chronic problem with the IFS trucks.
