I have a 1989 3/4 ton 4x4 Suburban.

I also have a newer style banks turbo kit.

Will this kit have the same a/c box clearance issues as well as downpipe routing issues as the 6.5L turbos?

Probably . I have a Banks on my 85 that's going together and the back of the manifold has enough room for the down pipe and that's about all . Your manifold has the cross over and the down pipe off to one side where my down pipe runs along the top of the manifold and then heads south between the AC box and the manifold . Too bad you are in Ca , I'd stick them on my truck for some pictures and comparison .

The new style parts like you have will have the same clearance issues that using a GM system will have.

You MIGHT be able to modify the turbo outlet pipe and the down pipe to allow enough clearance around the AC box but I doubt it.

The old style had the turbo all the way to the front of the manifold and the cross over came under the engine and to the front of the RH manifold.

This arangement allowed room for the down pipe to sneek back over the frame and down and out of the engine bay.

Even this was tight.
Your setup has the crossover just like the GM setup does and all the same clearance issues come into play.

Sorry to be the harbinger of bad news.

No worries. I had guessed awhile back that it would not fit without mods, I just wanted to make sure.
