View Full Version : ECM Fuel Rates
What is the fuel rates of a 1997 L56 and the L65 ECM
Freddy
Not enough?!
My L65 max output is 62mm with #4 resistor.
With #9 resistor it pushed out a whopping 64mm.

A guy in the light diesel performance business told me last week that the resistors for the Standyne pump are applied to the PMD during calibration to make up for variances in the pumps - including electric resistances.
He stated that arbitrarily installing a #9 resistor will not always produce a greater fuel rate.
True or False, based on member experiences?

its not something your really going to feel by the seat of your pants,i actually noticed nothing (went from #5 to #9)....not to mention that the pcm doesnt "read" it everyday....according to the pros it only reads it like every 50 key turns..makes you wonder how someone can market a "fuel controller"...if you want REAL fuel, chip it smile.gif
