Here the short of it. I have to replace the freeze plugs in my 1986 6.2, So I'm going to remove the tcase and tran to get to the re plugs. So while I have the trans I can score a bunch of part for "cheap new part" from a buddy from his build he didn't complete!

B&M Shift improver kit
Jet Billet Power Servo kit
Jet 4th Gear Billet Power Servo kit
TCI 700r4 Diesel Torque Converter

I need to know if its worth the time and money to install these and will I notice a better drivability, etc???

There are no plugs on the back of the block on a 6.2/6.5

Taking the trans out will likely not gain much room as the soft plugs are only on the sides of the block the middle and rear ones are not bad.

The front ones are behind the motor mounts though.

The starter will need to come off to do the RH rear one

After a quick review of a 6.2 diesel repair book I have it looks like there is a freezer plug located a the rear of the engine above the rear main! Is this true?
