View Full Version : Engine wireing
How hard would it be to Convert a mechanical injected 6.2 diesel to Electronic injection?
My one question is, Why would you want to??
You could use a 6.2 in place of a 6.5 in an electronic truck though.
To start off to set up the DS4 on an older rig in my estamation would be about as much fun as swatting ones self in the thumb with a hammer.
Now that said, you would need the computer, dash wiring and engine bay wiring and the engine harness from a 6.5. (94-95) would be the easiest.
All the stuff out on the engine is easy, it all plugs in and is a no brainer.
Each plug only fits one place.
The chassis harness can certainly be fiddled into place and stuff set to work.
Now a good working DB2 will do everything you could need or want though.
Have fun and keep us posted on your project.

i was considering doing that in a jeep,
on a side note would there be any problem using a db2-5119 pump on a 6.2?
The 5119 was a 120 HP "P" chassis application. HD 94-97
This would not be my first choice.
However it could be set up to fuel the same as the standard IP from a J series 6.2.
The 5119 is a 6.5 pump. it will fit and work.
