Hello:

I have a 2005 with 130,000 Km that turned on the SES and is in limp home mode. The codes are P0207 and P2147. I found the GM bulletin 05-06-04-047C which replaces the injector plugs on 2 and 7 cylinders.

I am a long way from the dealership. I will check the harness near the FICM in the morning for damage.

Where does the connection fail on number 7 cylinder?
Can I repair the connector to make 100 mile trip to the dealer?
Truck is 2005 with 130,000 km so it looks like it should be covered under warranty.

I also found the upper rad hose was sucked together when the engine was cooled off. When I removed the cap from the coolant reservoir, it didn't seem to have a lot of vacuum and the hose didn't come back to it normal shape. Is this just a bad rad cap? Weak rad hose maybe?

Thanks for the help.

Can't help you on the injector question, but have observed the same radiator hose 'collapse' and never had any problems with the hoses returning to their normal shape after restarted and warm.

Its just an expansion/contraction thing as coolant cycles.

Usually the bad connection is right where the injector plugs into the harness.

I forgot to mention that I changed the fuel filter and checked air filter before starting this. It never helped. I dropped the fuel filter-base down and managed to push the wires into the connector further. That helped for 10 minutes. I had to move the harness up a little to get some slack and then push back into connector. Cleared the codes with laptop and truck was working great. :)

This should save it riding behind a hook to the dealer after the long weekend.

Thanks for the help from the posters above and the site... and my dieselpage duramax books came in handy again.

Talked to dealer today and the kit is covered except $100 deductible. Kit cost is 478.00 Can plus 0.9 hour install. Thanks to my laptop-scan tool-and this site/posters for saving the poor chevy from having to ride the hook to the dealer :)

I just wanted to add that the repair solved the problem and better yet, I received a check back from the dealer for the $100.00 deductible. There was no explanation, just a check :)

No explanation needed. Some dealers are just good guys and it sounds like you're working with one of them. Glad it all worked out for you!
