Will electronic IP automatically Time?

I'm in the process of swaping my IP. I will adjust the pump by hand to line up the pump timing marks prior to starting the engine. Will I need to take the truck to a shop to fine tune the timing or will the computer be able to compensate? Doesn't the computer monitor the timing and determine when each injecter fires? Thanks in advance for any input.

Your truck will probably run reasonably well with a mark I eyeball time set. I know mine did for a long time. But to be safe, and to maximize the potential, it needs a proper timing job.
