I have a question about how to solve this problem. I have a 99 C2500 6.5 that rides great with no sag, it is nice and level, and 205K on the clock. My 1998 C1500 gasser 5.7 sags in the front w/only 150K. Do any of these ideas make sense, or is there a better solution out there? One is to pick up 2500 front and rear springs, and likley have a similar ride to my 2500, or the other is to replace the front with 2500 springs, and install air shocks in the rear to raise it up the two inches needed, hopefully still getting a nice ride. Or should I just buy brand new 1500 springs for the front and live with a lower vehicle? I see the 1500's sagging pretty regularly, so I figured someone had to have solved this a while ago. Thanks for the help.

The 2500 parts will likely not fit the 1500 truck.

If the stuff is sagggy just replace with an aftermarket part of OEM or better quality.

Way long time ago when I had a 42 willy jeep I asked about sagging leaf springs... the old timer told me to pour oil on them... he suggested using some of the stuff I got after changing my oil. Seemed like a good way to re-cycle (25 years ago)... guess what, it worked. you might try it even though it isn't the thing to do today.
