Has anyone experinced any problems with blowing their exhuast manifold gaskets out with a exhaust brake. My service truck at work is a 99 F450 ( I know its not a Chev but some one else bought it :D ). I use the Exhaust brake LOTS and the other day it blew a gasket. If any one has had this problem is there a better type of gasket to use. Looks like one mother of a job to do, so I only want to do it once.
Thanx in advance

I don't think there are many on here that even run an exhaust brake, mainly because the 6.5 isn't well suited for one. Also, the 6.5 doesn't use exhaust manifold gaskets, only the doughnuts between the crossover pipe. But, there are gaskets for the 6.5, that are lead gaskets, that I've only seen in rebuild kits and don't use. If I had an exhaust manifold that wasn't true and needed a gakset, I'd take it down and have it surfaced.
Sorry I'm no help...
Which gasket blew?
