Under Pressure

Gentlemen,
Just wondering what oil pressure at the factory gauge should look like w/engine hot, while cruising.
Mine is just under the 40 psi mark (on factory gauge) when hot, and drops when at low idle.
Any ideas?

Mine runs slightly over 40 drops down to 40
when HOT;95 k miles on engine.

10psi at idle, 40psi at 2000rpm is factory spec.

Mine runs just below 40 at idle and just above while driving.

Whatnot, GM gauges are not known to be very accurate. My GM gauge reads the same as yours,
but my autometer mech gauge reads 15+-psi at idle and the same as stk gauge when rpms are up.
