LB7 Fuel Injection Pump Replacement

I'm going to have to replace the fuel injection pump on my '02 (163,000 miles) shortly...

Anyone have any tips/hints/suggestions to make it smooth and successful??

Why do you think you need to replace it???

Been diagnosed by the dealer... OK pressure with no load, almost no pressure with any engine load. Not a restriction pre-pump, and injectors are OK (return rates and pressure OK) They want $3000 to replace it - at that price I think I'll replace it myself.
