IP differences

WHat are the differences in different year IP's? 82-83, 84-87, 88-91, 92-93 seem to be the splits. Is it just slightly heavier fueling in each for the higher HP rating? I need a new IP, and why not buy something thats already going to be setup for heavier fueling, right?

Are there thread differences or anything else that would prevent me from using a 92-93 6.2 IP on an 85 engine?

The pumps are dimentionally the same, so they'll all bolt right in, as long as it's a mechanical DB2 pump (all 6.2's are).

Just pick the pump that suits your application/needs.
