On my 94 6.5 with my pro link hooked up and in the engine data menu, looking at the engine coolant temp i have observed the following.
Engine temp at 185 then 50 then 185 and back and forth. So i replaced the sensor and the pig tail, same thing, cleaned all connections and dielectric greased every thing, same thing, so i went from the engine menu into the transmission menu and in there engine coolant temp is also displayed, that reading is steady and consistant. That would indicate that the wiring and sensor are ok. So my question would be do i have a pcm problem or a prom problem ?? The prom or chip if you will is a Kennedy piece. The pcm is a genuine GM reman.
