turbo vs naturally aspirated block

Hello ya'all,

I need a block for 6.5 TD. I can get a block out of a 1995 shorty school bus (naturally aspirated). Will this block work for me? Did GM/GMC do different castings on these applications? Any information would be helpful, thanks

I think there was only one block for the 6.5. There are different versions of heads and or precup's.

Naturally aspirated or turbo precups. Then the hummer/van heads vs truck for center mount turbo or side mount. But the block remains the same Only minor differences in some bolt thread specifications (bellhousing and oil cooler ports) over the years.
