I am a little new to this but would the ZF S6-650 fit in any duramax?

Welcome aboard!

Until 2007, the ZF S6-650 was the standard tranny behind the Duramax, with the Allison as the auto option. It's only available with the Allison 6 speed auto, now.

To answer your question specifically, yes. The ZF will fit in any Duramax equipped truck. Not sure about the vans, though. If it is a GM ZF, it will fit any GM V-8 Diesel engine (the bolt pattern is the same for all, except BOP).
